Girl's Day Singer Minah Confirmed For Upcoming MBC Drama 'Sweet Family'

Girls Day's Bang Minah will play a role in a cable network drama later in 2015!

The exclusive info was released on the 18th by an insider working with the drama. The show will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays on MBC and begin in November, after "She Is Pretty" finishes its run.

Minah will play the role of a high school student, Baek Hyunji, who is the daughter of Jung Oong-in and Yoo Sun-kwa. In the drama, her character is pretty, preparing to become an idol, and has her mother's honest and confident personality.

The popular idol singer made her first cable network TV appearance on "Vampire Idol" in 2010. Aside from that, she also starred in the Samsung web series "A Better Tomorrow," which was five episodes long and released on the official Samsung Youtube channel. Last year, she had a role in "Dad for Rent," where she was praised for her acting skills and received a positive reaction from fans.

"Sweet Family" tells the story of a poor, four-member family in Korea where the husband leads a fulfilling life outside, but when he gets home, his wife nags him and his two children don't appreciate him.

Other cast members include: Jung Joon-ho, Moon Jung-hee, Jung Oong-in, Yoo Sun-kwa, Kim Eung Soo, Kim Won Hae, Choi Min Chul, Ji Su Won, Jo Dal-hwan, Park Hwe-jin, and others.
