Original 'Star Wars' Saga Movie Theatre Screening Brings Back Nostalgia, Are AMC And Netflix Are In On The 'Star Wars' Hype?

The original “Star Wars” saga movie theatre release news is exciting for fans everywhere.

This year there has been a lot of “Star Wars” news, apart from the upcoming seventh film installment, there have been video game updates, news on the future films and so forth. While older fans are able to fully understand the gravity of a new film being added to the “Star Wars” universe, the newer generation of fans could possibly only know the recent additions into the franchise.

The news of the original “Star Wars” saga movie theatre return presents itself as a great opportunity to warm up before the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” makes its way to cinemas around the world. The originally trilogy has already become an iconic part of film and pop culture history, showing the films in theatre’s once again creates a good foundation for new fans who have never even seen the first three films.

According to IGN, AMC Theatres may possibly be preparing to screen the original “Star Wars” saga before the launch of the upcoming seventh installment into the film franchise. A tweet was posted on AMC Theatres’ Twitter account but it was deleted soon after.

A Star Wars Junk reader was able to get a screenshot of the tweet before it was deleted which proves that it was actually posted on Twitter. AMC responded and stated that the news about the films being shown in theatres once again are false. However, the screenshot proves otherwise.

In other news, Netflix is rumored to bring the “Star Wars” films to the streaming service, but there is no official news on whether this is true or not. According to Slashfilm, Netflix is already closely working with Lucasfilm and the animated series “The Clone Wars” is already available on the site, so it is a possibility that the films will make its way onto the online streaming website.
