Clara's Contract Dispute With Polaris Entertainment Resolved, Both Sides Withdraw Lawsuits

Actress Clara Lee and Polaris Entertainment have decided to come to an agreement and end Clara's exclusive contract.

According to legal insiders, Clara submitted documents withdrawing her pending lawsuit against Polaris Entertainment on the September 18. If Polaris does not submit documents for continuing the lawsuit within two weeks, then the charges will be dropped. Insiders also stated that both sides will enter mediation talks on September 21, which will result in Lee Kyu Tae's (the chairman of Polaris) lawsuit against Clara being dropped.

On August 26, Clara had her 3rd court hearing about nullifying her exclusive contract with Polaris, less than a month after the previous hearing.

The two sides are expected to cleanly end their relationship, after much conflict this past year. As a result, Clara will soon become a free agent.

In December of 2014, Clara filed a lawsuit against Polaris Entertainment in an attempt to nullify her exclusive contract with them, alleging the chairman has sexually harrassed her. Polaris response stated that because Clara had violated the terms of their contract by sending lewd text messages and other malicious statements, they had a right to countersue for blackmail and suspicion of intimidation.

Once the arbitration talks are completed, Clara will no longer have an exclusive contract and be free to either join any agency she wants, or work as a free agent.
