Emma Watson is getting humbler day by day, possibly to gun for that elusive Oscar nomination. If she manages to gain an Oscar nomination this year, she will be the first ex Harry Potter alum to be recognized for acting chops.

According to Daily Mail, “The smiling 25-year-old caught up with several crew members before rewarding herself to a lunch break on Friday. Emma was dressed down in as she stepped out for a bite to eat, while her co-star Tom Hanks, 59, did the same.”

Looks like the actress wasn’t too hoity toity to hang out with the film crew.

But on the set of “The Circle”, Emma Watson may be using all the emotions she felt during Matthew Janney split.

According to Daily Mail, “She started work on Tom Hanks' new movie, The Circle, this week. And Emma Watson seemed to be in her element as she mooched about on the film's set in Los Angeles on Friday. The 25-year-old star appeared to be holding her lines in her hand as she familiarised herself with her surroundings while flashing a big cheesy grin.”

Emma Watson is determined to become a serious movie actress, which means that she needs to get that Oscar nomination soon. She certainly has been clocking in the hours on set by signing onto project after project.

This also means that she is ready to leave behind boyfriend speculations and split drama to focus on her career.

She even departed from her usual fancy roles and got “dowdy” to get herself a step towards Oscar and away from her ex boyfriend Matt Janney drama.

According to Glamour, the actress said, "It's the hardest part I've ever had to play. But also the most satisfying. It felt like the right thing to do."

According to a source, "Emma is determined to distance herself from Harry Potter and this is her big push to be taken seriously. She gives an amazing performance and is being tipped as an Oscar contender. She is dowdy in this movie - she's undergone a make-under."
