Vin Diesel did not just greet his late pal Paul Walker during the latter's birth anniversary. On the same day, as he revealed on social media, he had a long talk with the "Furious 8" team in a bid to keep the late actor somehow alive in the upcoming movie.

As posted on Instagram, Diesel remembered his late pal again with a throwback picture. He even shared that the upcoming "Furious 8" movie will have a Walker touch.

"You have heard me say that 7 was for Paul and 8 is FROM Paul," he wrote a week ago. "Is it a coincidence that on Pablo's birthday I had a three hour conversation about the NY Fast Trilogy with Justin Lin..."

Back in April, Diesel also said the same thing to MTV News.

"Paul used to say that ['Fast & Furious'] 8 was guaranteed and, in some ways, when you're brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass," the actor pointed out. "So, if fate has it -- fate, F8 -- then you'll get it. 'Furious 7′ was for Paul; 8 is from Paul.'"

In a recent interview with People, Michelle Rodriguez also affirmed the good news about a Paul Walker influence on her upcoming follow up movie with Vin Diesel. She said Walker wanted the movie to focus once again on racing.

"[Paul] wanted to bring it back down to the core, which is the racing," she explained. "He was always complaining about the special effects and the blue screens." 

"I think that's what Vin meant when [he said] his main focus on the next one will be trying to keep it true to that car audience," she says. "Hopefully we'll be able to do that cause it's gotten bigger than ever and you know we also have to stay true to that so it'll be a challenge." 

Vin Diesel's "Furious 8," which will have a Paul Walker concept in it, is currently on pre-production, according to E! Online. Rodriguez even revealed that they are now gathering a team to make sure the upcoming movie will remain true to itself.
