Christina Aguilera's Manager Confirms 'The Voice' Comeback! Britney Spears Rivalry Not Over?

Irving Azoff just gave Christina Aguilera fans the best news after he confirmed that the singer would be returning on "The Voice."

As reported by Xposé, the singer who has skipped season 9 of the show will be taking on some other projects before her return.

"[Christina Aguilera's] about to go back on 'The Voice', about to finish a record, about to do another guest shot on 'Nashville', and the record's amazing," Azoff revealed on the DJ Pauly D podcast as quoted by the source above.

"She's never happier and never done better," he added.

But while the reality talent search show issue has been finally clarified, Azoff seemed to have opened a can of worms on another topic -- Aguilera's apparent rivalry with Britney Spears since they were young pop stars.

While complimenting that his talent was at the top of her game, Azoff also exclaimed that only people who have "peaked" does the Las Vegas residency stint. Some wondered if the shade meant that the supposed rivalry with Britney Spears has yet to be over.

"No disrespect to Britney [Spears] or to Jennifer Lopez, who is doing one, or to Shania [Twain], who did one, or any of them, but Christina's not peaked yet," Azoff said as cited by VH1.

"She's in the prime of her career," he added. "We'll tour the world, but we're not ready to sit down in Vegas."

There's no word yet how Britney Spears as well as Lopez and Twain have reacted to the statement. Lopez though, as earlier reported by E! Online, can't wait to start Vegas.

"I'm super excited about it," she said. "I love performing. I really feel like I'm gonna get to create a really special show, a special experience."

More than two weeks ago, Britney Spears announced her Vegas stint extension.

"I'm gonna be in Vegas for two more years," she announced on Sept. 10 as posted on Twitter.

Christina Aguilera has not spoken up about her manager's statement as well. As she takes on a "The Voice" break, she is still doing some coaching via MasterClass.
