On the 25th, the first official video teaser for Reply 1988 was released through the tvN official YouTube channel and other social media accounts. The teaser shows an old-fashioned TV flipping through channels with old programming. The first channel has the words "Reply 1997", the next one says "Reply 1994", and the channel then briefly flips to "Reply 1990" before settling on "Reply 1988" and teasing viewers with a "coming soon" message.

Reply 1988 is the third installment in the series of dramas that explored Korean culture in the 90s, and now the late 80s. From the teaser images, the series will take place in Seoul, telling the heartwarming story of a large family that lives together. Girl's Day's Hyeri plays the lead role in the drama, which will be her first time being the main character in a series. She previously had a supporting role in the drama "Sunam Girls High School Investigators".

Many still cuts of the drama have been released, intriguing netizens and making them feel nostalgic for the fashion and style of the time.

Reply 1988 will air Fridays and Saturdays at 7:50 PM on tvN. The exact start date is still undetermined.
