EXO's Lay To Appear Alongside Jackie Chan In Upcoming Indian-Chinese Film 'Kung Fu Yoga'

K-pop, meet Jackie Chan.

Lay (Zhang Yixing), a Chinese member of the K-pop group EXO, will appear in "Kung Fu Yoga," starring film star Jackie Chan and Indian actor Jackie Shroff. "Kung Fu Yoga" is an Indian-Chinese production that will star multiple Chinese and Indian actors in a variety of roles.

Lay reportedly will film in both China and India throughout the rest of the year.

"Kung Fu Yoga" will be released in 2016, and is directed by Stanley Tong. The film is part of a three-film agreement that was signed by Indian and Chinese leadership during the visit of China's President Xi Jinping to India last year, reports the International Business Times.

Chan stars in the film, which will be based around the relationship between ancient kung fu and yoga practices. According to the Internet Music Database (IMDB), the film is an action comedy.

Indian actress Katrina Kaif is also in consideration for a role in the multinational film. As of June, Kaif was still making a decision.

It is unknown what part Lay will play in the film, or how big of a role in the film the Korean idol will take on.

Lay is the second SM Entertainment K-pop idol to work with Chan; this year's "Dragon Blade," starring the Hong Kong action star and John Cusack, featured Super Junior's Choi Siwon.

Lay debuted as a member of EXO in 2011. The group is currently preparing to make a debut into the Japanese music market.
