Kristen Stewart may have gotten more than just Nicholas Hoult's friendship over Jennifer Lawrence as the Oscar-winning actress revealed in a recent interview.

As quoted by Cosmopolitan UK, the actress apparently auditioned for the role of Bella Swan on "Twilight" -- a part that she lost to Stewart.

"I remember when the first movie came out, seeing Kristen Stewart on the red carpet and getting papped wherever she went," Jennifer Lawrence said about Nicholas Hoult's "Equals" co-star.

"I'd had no idea Twilight would be such a big deal," she admitted. "For me, and assuming for her, it was just another audition. Then it turned into this whole other thing."

The rejection from the "Twilight" audition did not necessarily put a dent on Lawrence's career. As reported by Inquisitr, the actress also got into a book-turned-movie franchise via "The Hunger Games" as well. She also got to star in "Silver Linings Playbook" that won her an Oscar.

Lawrence's "Twilight" revelation came at a time when Stewart and Hoult were being linked amid the promotion of their new film "Equals."

In recent interviews, the "Equals" co-stars apparently talked about their recent break-ups from Lawrence and Robert Pattinson.

In a report on MTV, the "Equals" actress reportedly bonded with Hoult as they were mending heartbreaks while filming.

"It was a really good time for both of us to make this movie," Stewart told The Daily Beast as quoted by the source above.

"We all felt akin by how much we've been through, and to utilize that is so scary," she added. "And to acknowledge it, reassess, and jump back into it? Usually you want to move on. But at least we could use some of that for some good." 

Hoult and Stewart's tandem for the film stirred rumors last year with Lawrence getting dragged into the issue as gossips said she was threatened by the pair's closeness. But the Oscar-winning actress simply laughed off the reports.

"There was something in a magazine, and I was like, 'Oh, my God, that's hilarious,' because Kristen and I are friends," Jennifer Lawrence told Marie Claire in May 2014 about the Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart rumors. "I actually texted her a picture of it and was like, 'Just so you know, this is absolutely true.'"
