LG Ultra Light Gram Weighs Even Lighter Than A MacBook Air Does

LG’s Ultra Light Gram laptops are the company’s debut into the PC market.

Laptops nowadays are aiming to please a market that is looking for a device that delivers power but is easy to bring around. While the LG Ultra Light Gram is a new addition to the PC market, the specs show a lot of promise and seems to be a strong competitor against Apple’s lightweight Macbook Air.

According to The Verge, the LG Ultra Light Gram comes pre-installed with Windows 10 and have large displays that don’t impact the hardware’s lightweight design. Both the 13-inch and 14-inch models weigh in at 980 grams or 2.16 pounds which makes them even lighter that the lightest of laptops, the Macbook Air.

If the weight isn’t impressive enough, the 1080p displays on the LG laptops are found to be even better than the premium screens found on the Macbook Air. However, the flaw in the LG Gram is the material they were built with. To the touch they may seem flimsy to the rouch.

Other cons are he battery life as it lasts around 7.5 hours when used and it lacks an SD card reader as well as a keyboard back light.

The base price is $899 for the 13-inch and $999 for the 14-inch LG Gram laptops will include an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GN of RAM, and 128 GB SSD, Another variant will also be made available for those looking for a higher processor. A 14-inch LG Gram model with an Intel Core i7 and a 256GB SSD will be priced at $1399, as reported by IGN.

The LG Ultra Light Gram can be purchased at Microsoft or through Amazon.
