Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill's 'Batman V Superman' Loaded With Violent Action Scenes? Movie Gets PG-13 Rating

Will the rating impact on the scenes for Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice?"

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) issued a PG-13 rating on "Batman V Superman" because of "intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality," said Box Office Mojo.

"Honestly, all the superhero movies are PG-13 because obviously, we know it is about fighting the bad people and saving the day," wrote Geek Snack. "And a fight between Batman and Superman will surely be violent. There is something though that made me wonder; this 'sensuality' rating."

The synopsis for the Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill-starrer reads, "In the followup to Man of Steel, Henry Cavill returns as Clark Kent/Kal-El after the events of the Kryptonian attack on Metropolis that marked the beginning of his journey as Superman. Ben Affleck's 'tired, weary and seasoned' Bruce Wayne suits up as Batman to hold Superman accountable, along the way forming the epic partnership that will one day be the foundation of the Justice League."

Comic Book said that a PG-13 rating on Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will have some implication.

"The implication here is that there is a cut of the film that the filmmakers are satisfied by, since changes to the film after ratings would require it to go back for further review," it said. "Still, with six months to go before the movie is in theaters, it isn't outside of the realm of possibility that there could be changes made."

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. It's directed by Zack Snyder. The film ie expected to pave the way for the "Wonder Woman" standalone film as well as the planned "Justice League" movie.
