Liam Hemsworth tried out speed dating in an episode of "The Muppets." He also apparently came to the aid of Gonzo, who was struggling on the love department. The dating episode came as rumors continue to swirl that the Australian actor may be dating "Independence Day: Resurgence" co-star Maika Monroe.

As reported by E! Online, the storyline of Hemsworth's appearance on "The Muppets" meant he will be extending some dating expertise to Gonzo.

"You were probably one of those awkward kids who had trouble with the ladies until you grew into your looks," muppet Rizzo told Hemsworth in the clip.

"No, I've been gorgeous since birth, but I have struck out a few times," Hemsworth replied in the video. "Just at a super-high level." 

In a report on Mail Online, it was further mentioned that Liam Hemsworth showed how it was to speed date on the episode. He was seen on photo grabs from the episode hanging out with a brunette muppet.

The dating episode that Liam Hemsworth appeared in on "The Muppets" happened as the actor himself continued to be linked with his "Independence Day: Resurgence" co-star Maika Monroe. The Australian actor has been linked as well with his "Mockingjay" co-star Jennifer Lawrence.

Jennifer Lawrence though in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly has said that the "Independence Day: Resurgence" actor was just one of her best friends.

"If we had met each other in any different circumstance, we would still be best friends," the "Mockingjay" actress said then about Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. "And our love is as close to unconditional as it gets because there's no fear between us because we love each other so much." 

Maika Monroe, on the other hand, has been mum about being linked with Liam Hemsworth since July. They were even pictured out together once as reported by Us Weekly then. OK! magazine also recently reported that his brother Chris Hemsworth and the rest of their family approved of the professional kiteboarder for Liam.
