'Fast and The Furious 8' Release Date Set For 2017, The Movie May Finally Get A Director

The “Fast And Furious 8” release date is set and director may also be confirmed as well.

Fand thought that the successful “Fast And Furious” franchise was going to end with “Furious 7,” however that doesn’t seem to be the case. Even Vin Diesel confirmed this speculation by announcing that there would be one last trilogy before the franchise comes to a close, and even giving out a “Fast And Furious 8” release date.

After the sudden passing of one of the franchise’s main stars, Paul Walker, the most recent film had decided the perfect ending for his character was to have him live his life with his family. There isn’t any news on what the new movie’s story is going to be about, but from the looks of it, it could be centered more around Vin Diesel’s character or perhaps a new character.

While coming up with a movie and dealing with the production aspect is one part, finding the perfect director to make the magic happen through a vision is another. There have been rumors about some prospective directors, but there was no confirmation on whether or not they were up in the running.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that there are three more directors who could possibly take on the directing job. F. Gary Gray of “Straight Outta Compton,” Adam Wingard of “ You’re Next” and “The Guest” and lastly, Louis LeTerrier of “The Transporter” and “The Incredible Hulk.”

The three directors will reportedly be meeting with Vin Diesel, who has a say in who will be directing the next film, during the week. However, it should be noted, as reported by IGN, that there aren’t any frontrunners yet.

The “Fast And Furious 8” release date is set to 2017. While the final cast has not been set, there is a big possibility that previous cast members will be returning to reprise their roles.
