Kristen Stewart News: Actress Knew Of 'Twilight' Gender-Swap Before The Book Release?

Kristen Stewart catapulted to success playing Bella Swan in the "Twilight Saga." But news has it that a few years back, she apparently had the crazy vision of swapping the gender of her character and of Edward Cullen that was portrayed by ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

In a report on MTV, Stewart seemed to have channeled Alice Cullen back in 2012 and somehow "predicted" what would happen to her character three years later.

"I think if you were to swap the roles, if you were to have Edward and Bella be [switched], people would find him to be so courageous," she told as cited by the source above. "Like, 'Wow, he just laid it out on the line for her and really trusts himself and even in the face of the strongest adversity, he doesn't deny his feelings!'"

The discovery of Kristen Stewart's statement back in 2012 came after news broke about Stephenie Meyer's new book, "Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined" as told by Refinery 29.

In an interview with "Good Morning America," Stephenie Meyer revealed the reason why she decided to do the Edward Cullen, Bella Swan gender-swap years later.

"It's always bothered me a little bit because anyone surrounded by superheroes is going to be ... in distress," she explained as quoted by Yahoo! News. "We don't have the powers. I thought, 'What if we switched it around a bit and see how a boy does,' and, you know, it's about the same."

Nevertheless, the author insisted on the introduction of the new book that the gender-swap was not the core of the reissue as told by The Daily Beast. Instead, she seemed to convey one simple thing -- love wins in whichever setup.

"But I've always maintained that it would have made no difference if that human were male and the vampire female -- it's still the same story."

Relieve how Kristen Stewart seemed to have predicted Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" gender-swap that recently hit the news in the clip below.
