Jimmy Fallon Injury News: Hurt Finger Still Numb, Host Shares Gory Details About Finger!

Jimmy Fallon opened up in an interview with Bill Carter on Sirius XM about his finger injury news and even gave some gory description about what happened to his finger.

"Degloving," he shared about how his injury was called. "I would describe it as taking a chicken wing, putting it in your mouth, biting the end and then pulling it out. It's like you've got the bone but everything else, tendons and everything, are somewhere else."

"I had ten tubes coming out of my arm and five on your chest and a catheter," he also explained of his situation while spending ten days on the Intensive Care Unit.

As reported by Entertainment Tonight, the "Tonight Show" host also revealed to Carter that it might take a while before his finger feels anything.

"I don't feel my ring finger and I don't feel my pinky finger right now," the "Tonight Show" host told Carter as quoted by the source above. "My doctor said six months is when I'll probably get my feeling back."

Jimmy Fallon has even shared that his finger injury news has escalated and has been given a name of its own now that it's slowly coming back to life.

"It was a dead finger," the "Tonight Show" host said in jest. "This is a resurrected finger. It's a Jesus finger. They call it the Jesus finger. Jeezus."

He also said in the same interview that although his fingers remain numb, he feels "very lucky" to have survived the ordeal and still have his finger.

"Those moments - two seconds of your life - changes everything and you realize how lucky you are," he said as quoted by The Wrap. "It was a good wakeup call."

There were times though in the past, as he admitted in a recent feature on Billboard, that he's saddened by what happened.

"It's a bummer, but you can't get depressed," the "Tonight Show" host told the magazine.
