Posters Released For Upcoming 3-D Chinese Film 'L.O.R.D.' Starring Former EXO Member Kris

One former EXO member is certainly expanding his horizons in China.

On Oct. 13, promotional posters for the upcoming 3-D Chinese film L.O.R.D.: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties were released featuring the film's stars including Kris Wu (Wu Yi Fan), who initially rose to fame in South Korea as a member of SM Entertainment boy band EXO.

Wu will star alongside popular Chinese actress and pop singer Fan Bingbing and other Chinese entertainment stars Wang Yuan, Lin Yun, and Amber Kuo.

L.O.R.D. follows the story of four supernatural kingdoms fighting for control. The 3-D fantasy film is directed by 32-year-old writer-director Guo Jingming who shared the posters through his Weibo account.

Despite the anticipation for the film, Kris Wu remains embroiled in a contract dispute with SM Entertainment. The South Korean entertainment agency contends that the Chinese-Canadian star is in violation of his exclusive contract by engaging in promotional activities in China. Wu sued the company for termination of his contract in May 2014 and the case is still in mediation.

Nevertheless, many fans are showing support and excitement for the film across social media.

"Looks awesome, can't wait to see it!" wrote Jaywalking_Panda, at the end of an Allkpop article.

L.O.R.D.: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties is scheduled for release in July 2016.
