SM Entertainment Confirms End Of Girls' Generation Member Yuri's Relationship With Baseball Player Oh Seung Hwan

Six months after going public with their relationship, Girls' Generation's Yuri (Kwon Yuri) and athlete Oh Seung Hwan have called it quits.

On Thursday, SM Entertainment, Yuri's agency, confirmed with the K-pop idol that the two had ended their relationship. The pair have been busy with promotional schedules and overseas activities.

Korean media outlets reported the news early on Thursday, after which SM Entertainment contacted and confirmed with Yuri that the relationship had come to an end.

"It is true that Yuri and Oh Seung Hwan have broken up," a rep from SM Entertainment said, reported eNews on Oct. 15.

Yuri has been busy with Girls' Generation's promotional schedule in and out of Korea, as well as focusing on individual activities. Oh, who plays for the Harshen Tigers in Japan, has spent much of the year in Japan.

Both Yuri and Oh Seung Hwan purged their social media accounts of mentions of one another.

In September, Oh revealed that he had no immediate plans to get marrie.

The two confirmed their relationship in April, after being spotted on dates by Korean media outlets.

Yuri is the fourth member of Girls' Generation to end her relationship this year. Girls' Generation's Tiffany, Taeyeon, and YoonA each ended relationships with K-pop singers earlier in 2015.

Sooyoung, who revealed her relationship with actor Jung Kyung Ho at the start of 2014, is the only member of Girls' Generation reportedly still in a relationship.

The girl group received the nickname "Dating Generation" following the news of four members involved in relationships in 2014.

In August, it was announced that Yuri was set to play the lead role in OCN's upcoming drama, "Neighborhood Hero."
