JYJ's Junsu Handpicks 'Unpretty Rapstar' Winner Cheetah To Feature On New Album

If you're a fan of Mnet's "Unpretty Rapstar," you're in good company.

JYJ's XIA Junsu (Kim Junsu, formerly of TVXQ) revealed on Oct. 15 that he's a fan of the rap competition show. He's such a fan that he chose the first season's winner, Cheetah, to feature on a song on his upcoming album, "Yesterday."

Cheetah was handpicked by Junsu to feature on the song "Midnight Show" because of her appearances on "Unpretty Rapstar."

"I'm an avid fan of 'Unpretty Rapstar,'" Junsu told reports on Wednesday. "I became a fan of Cheetah watching the first season. I asked her while I was preparing for this album [to feature in a song], and she said 'yes' without hesitation."

"Midnight Show" is one of the eight songs included on Junsu's upcoming EP, "Yesterday."

"Thanks to Cheetah, we were able to create a song that is easy to listen to in the fall," Junsu added.

According to eNews, "Midnight Show" is a song about with a bold, but refined, sexual beat. The lyrics of the song are about a secret love between a couple.

Along with "Midnight Show," the EP contains seven other songs, including acoustic versions three of Junsu's previously released songs.

The lead single of the album, "Yesterday," was created by the Korean singer-songwriter "Lucia."

Giriboy and BewhY will also feature on songs.

An acclaimed singer, Junsu became famous as a member of SM Entertainment's TVXQ before leaving the company in 2009 and forming JYJ with two other former TVXQ members.

JYJ is currently on hiatus while two of the members- Park Yoochun and Kim Jaejoong- fulfill their mandatory military service.

"Yesterday" will be released on Oct. 19.
