'Fast And Furious 8' Film To Take Place On The Big Apple; Here's Everything You Need To Know So Far

The “Fast And Furious 8” film now has a setting.

Fans of the long running “Fast And Furious” franchise are looking forward to the final trilogy. Ever since it was revealed that the film will actually be happening, news and updates were being closely monitored.

Games Radar reported that the announcement was made during Diesel’s appearance on “The Jimmy Fallon Show” where the “Fast And Furious” actor revealed “New York, baby!”

This would be the second time that the franchise would be set in North America as the previous movies were all set in various countries around the world. New York is also well known for having bad road traffic and a dense population, so it would be interesting to see what the new film’s direction is going to be like.

From the City Of Tokyo in Japan to the shores of Brazil, Dominic Toretto and his crew never found themselves in shortage of action, adventure and great cars. According to Screenrant, not only does the upcoming film have a new city to call home and a new director, the latest installment will be the first film without the late Paul Walker.

While this may seem like a big change for fans to adjust themselves to, fans will be glad to know that rest of the gang will be reprising their roles.

Oddly enough, it was about time that the film made its way to the Big Apple. Diesel noted that the very first film, from which spawned a number of sequels, was based on an article in Vibe Magazine that was about the New York drag racers. From the Los Angeles drag races to the Big Apple, the franchise has come full circle.

The “Fast And Furious 8” film will be released on April 14, 2017 and will be directed by F. Gary Gray.
