'Doctor Who' Star Maisie Williams Jumps From The Sky To Raise Money For Charity

"Doctor Who" actress Maisie Williams is really using her status for a good cause.

On Saturday, the 18-year-old actress-more famous for her role as Arya Stark in "Game of Thrones"-jumped out of the plane at 15,000 ft. in Devon to raise money for charity, this time for the Dolphin Project and Mencap.

"The Bristol-born actress didn't look scared at all as she enjoyed a freefall of around 60 seconds strapped to her tandem instructor before pulling the parachute and gliding back to solid ground," said Daily Mail.

"Maisie was originally set to do the skydive at an earlier date, but had to reschedule due to bad weather," it said.

Maisie Williams appeared in the two-parter series for the BBC production "Doctor Who." She played as the viking Ashildr in "The Girl Who Died" and "The Girl Who Lived."

On Oct. 15, she actually tweeted her skydiving appearance as she urged her fans to take time to find out about the Dolphin Project and Mencap. "This Saturday I will be doing a skydive... Please donate. @Dolphin_Project. @mencap_charity."

Mencap, according to its website, "works with people with a learning disability to change laws, challenge prejudice and support them to live their lives as they choose."

The Dolphin Charity, meanwhile, works under the auspices of the International Marine Mammal Project at the Earth Island Institute, and the foundation "aims to stop dolphin slaughter and exploitation around the world."

This is not the first time that "Doctor Who" actress Maisie Williams donated to charity as she also gave the $10,000 prize she won from a radio show to Wilberry Wonder Pony foundation, founded by 17-year-old Hannah Francis, who's sufferin from osteosarcoma.

In an interview with Radio Times, Maisie Williams said that she plans on using her fame as a platform for change.

"Either way I've been given a voice and I want to try and do something with it," she explained. The young generation are very passionate, it's just that not very many of us are given a voice, and every time we are we're shut down by people who think we don't know anything."
