Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi has shared her story regarding a bout with rheumatoid arthritis as the "Shahs of Sunset" star wants to be an inspiration to others suffering from the same fate as hers.

Three days ago, she shared a note on Instagram which read, "I want to inspire people. I want someone to look at me and say, 'Because of you, I didn't give up.'"

As a way of explanation, GG wrote, "Today is the day I begin the process of chemotherapy. Never have I ever been so scared yet so excited at the same time. I'm scared because, well, the f****ng obvious, it's chemo!"

"Shahs of Sunset" star Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi added, "But I'm excited because for 5 years I've put this off because of my fear of the word 'chemotherapy' and I've now reached a place of acceptance. My RA is working in overcharge and my health has not been getting better. But today I will take charge and hope for a better tomorrow. Hopefully I will inspire others to not be afraid as well. Thank you all for always being so supportive of me on this journey. Wish me luck!!!"

There was a lot of support for Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi in the comments on the post of the "Shahs of Sunset" star.

"Good luck GG!" one follower wrote. "f I've been on Methotrexate (small dose chemo) and Remicaid via IV infusion in the oncology center for a few years now. I've found a lot of relief with this although it's such a pain. You're not alone in this struggle."

Another said, "15 years plus now for me on methotrexate yes the side effects at time can make you want to stop but the option of RA attacking my organs as well as my joints is not something I am willing to chance."

According to Mayo Clinic, "rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disorder that typically affects the small joints in your hands and feet."

Symptoms for sufferers like the "Shahs of Sunset" star include swollen joints, stiffness on the joints, nodules (or bumps) on the arms, overall fatigue, weight loss and fever.
