Teresa Giudice got a dose of reality as her fame in "Real Housewives of New Jersey" doesn't give her special accommodations in prison.

The 43-year-old shared her experience during the second episode of "Teresa Checks In" over at Bravo when prison guards thought that she was smuggling a cell phone and was posting on her Twitter from inside her cell.

Apparently, the prison officials saw the tweet where Teresa Giudice thanked her fans for their support. But the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star insisted that she told her daughter to write the post on her behalf.

"You know, they thought I was doing it from here. I got shaken down, like our room got shaken down. I guess they were looking for a cell phone or something," she said.

"They're so invading!" she complained. "You have to bend down and cough. Like where you going to put it? Up there?"

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star is serving 15 months in jail after admitting guilty to fraud. She is expected to be released in December after which, her husband Joe will start serving his 41-month sentence.

"The couple were initially indicted in 2013, when they were accused of hiding their fortune in a bankruptcy filing. Joe was also accused of failing to file tax returns between 2004 and 2008," said People.

Teresa Giudice and husband Joe would have escaped a prison sentence entirely had they been truthful about their probation report filing. But the judge found out that they lied about their assets and the discrepancy amounted to $75,000, which is why she ordered them jailed to send a message.

James J. Leonard, the attorney for the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star, told E! News, as reported by Radar Online, that Teresa Giudice will come out of priosn a stronger and more focused person.

"She's getting back in touch with her faith. She's spending a lot of time praying in there and I think the Teresa that comes out of prison is going to wow people," he said.
