Will Fitz Lose The Presidency In 'Scandal' Season 5? Episode 5 Spoilers Reveal A 'Preoccupied' Olivia

Olivia might not be a good Gladiator right now because she's more interested about her own self-interests, according to the episode 5 spoilers for "Scandal" season 5.

The title of this episode is "Even the Devil Deserves a Second Chance."

The synopsis teased episode 5 spoilers of "Scandal" season 5 as it read, "While Fitz is focused on winning back the American people, he makes a shocking discovery. Meanwhile, OPA takes on a new client, but Olivia seems preoccupied keeping her own secrets, and Elizabeth North sets her sights on a new agenda."

"What's Elizabeth North up to?" said Cartermatt. "That's probably our biggest question right now, mostly because the remainder of the stories on the show right now are a little more clear. Olivia and Fitz are so out in the open now, so is there going to really be a way to close the door on that romance?"

President Fitz is facing an impeachment this season ever since the public got wind of his relationship to Olivia Pope even if he's very much married to Mellie Grant. The situation is quickly spiraling out of control as he's been advised to get legal representation to get himself out of the mess.

Will Mellie Grant succeed in kicking him out of the White House?

"Scandal" season 5 stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope; Tony Goldwyn as President Fitzgerald Grant; Scott Foley as Jake Ballard; Guillermo Diaz as Huck; Bellamy Young as First Lady Mellie Grant; Portia De Rossi as Elizabeth North; Darby Stanchfield as Abby Whelan; Katie Lowes as Quinn Perkins; Jeff Perry as Cyrus; Cornelius Smith Jr as Marcus Walker; and Joshua Malina as David Rosen.

Watch out for more "Scandal" season 5 spoilers which will be published here as they come along ahead of the airing date for episode 5 on Thursday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
