British Pop Icon Elton John Announces Seoul Concert For November

World-famous British pop icon Sir Elton John is set to perform at a one-night only concert on November 27 at the Hyundai Card Understage in Seoul, South Korea.

The Seoul concert, which is expected to seat only around 500 people due to the size of the chosen venue, is part of Elton John's ongoing world tour titled All the Hits.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will serenade the crowd with the back-up of a professional band that has long accompanied him around the world, including guitarist David Johnstone, bassist Matt Bissonette, percussionist John Mahon, drummer Nigel Olsson and keyboardist Kim Ballard, reports The Korea Times.

Elton John has previously performed twice in South Korea, reports Chosun, but this third performances will be more intimate due to the limited number of seats. The organizers also said concertgoers that the November event will not be similar to the artist's previous Korean performances.

"Because John has been here twice before, we wanted to put together a concert unlike any he's ever staged, and he liked the idea. a staff member for the concert venue and organizer Hyundai Card reportedly said.

"This is an unprecedented concert. Barring his early days, John has very rarely played such small shows," a representative further told The Korea Herald.

Tickets will cost 200,000 Korean won (roughly $176 USD) at the online booking site Interpark.
