Executives of "The Voice" seemed bent on keeping fans of the show satisfied as they recently revealed the news that Christina Aguilera will be returning for season 10. Rumors abound though that the real reason behind the "Dirrty" singer's comeback was to prevent the Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani romance.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, executives of the show apparently wanted to prevent a possible on set problem before it even happens. With constant rumors linking Shelton and Stefani, who both split with their respective spouses over the summer, the executives purportedly feared they would cause drama on the show if and when they get together and have fights. The gossip item even noted that the two coaches have gotten even closer now.

As reported by Us Weekly earlier this month, an insider claimed that the on cam flirtation between the two coaches has apparently become a real thing off camera.

NBC executives have yet to address the speculation that a budding romance between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani was the real reason behind the news that Christina Aguilera was back for "The Voice" season 10. NBC Entertainment's Paul Telegdy have only expressed their excitement for the show next year as cited by Entertainment Weekly.

Stefani though has spoken up on the romance rumors linking her to Shelton but did not really give a direct answer.

"Have you read the news?" Stefanie asked back to Entertainment Tonight when questioned about the Shelton rumors as she laughed it off.

She has admitted though to Billboard that she loved everyone on the talent search show and hoped to continue doing it.

"They're all so smart, they're all lovely," she told the Associated Press. "They all got my back. I love them."

Prior to NBC's news that Christina Aguilera was returning on "The Voice" season 10 to join Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton and replace Gwen Stefani, her manager Irving Azoff already confirmed her comeback.
