Super Junior member and actor Choi Siwon joined in the worldwide show of support for Mexico as it braced for the battering of Hurricane Patricia, the strongest hurricane recorded at sea in history, over the weekend.

On October 24, the day when the hurricane was expected to slam into Mexico, Siwon posted an image on Instagram that said "Pray for Mexico."

This prompted Siwon's more than 2.4 million followers to send their thoughts and prayers to the people of Mexico that would have been heavily affected by the heavy winds and rains brought on by the storm.

After calling out support for Mexico, there was a sigh of relief as the hurricane was downgraded to a tropical storm, having been tempered by the mountainous terrain of the region. Coupled with the early mass evacuations, there have been reported minimal casualties.

Siwon is gaining the adoration from fans not only from this most recent act of thoughtfulness, but also for his screen-stealing performance in the ongoing hit drama She Was Pretty.

Ratings for the drama have been climbing higher and higher in the past weeks. But sadly, thedrama will not be extended due to Siwon's schedule to begin his enlistment as a conscripted policeman by November 19.
