f(x) Sweep Korean And Chinese Music Charts With Latest Album '4 Walls'

f(x) is back with the release of "4 Walls," and better than ever.

Immediately following the release of their album on Tuesday, f(x) soared through the ranks Korean and Chinese music charts. The title track, "4 Walls" topped several Korean music charts, and is currently battling with IU's new song, "Twenty-Three" for complete domination on many Korean charts.

Yonhap, Korea's largest news agency, reported on Tuesday that f(x) took number one on at least seven South Korean charts at various times throughout the day on Oct. 27.

Additionally, the title track "4 Walls" appeared at the top of China's Baidu King chart, while other songs from the album appeared within the top 20 songs of the same chart.

In addition, the music video for "4 Walls" was viewed over 2 million times within 24 hours of being released on YouTube.

"4 Walls" is the first album that f(x) has released in over a year, and the first the group has put out as a four member act.

Rather than face trouble following a line-up change in a K-pop group, former member Sulli's departure marks a new beginning for f(x). The album, f(x)'s fourth studio album to date, highlights the change and promotes the group notably as a quartet.

f(x)'s four remaining members-Krystal, Amber, Luna, and Victoria- spent the past year focusing on individual activities following the release of 2015's "Red Light" and Sulli going on hiatus following a series of malicious rumors relating to her relationship with Dynamic Duo's Choiza.

Since the release of the new album, Sulli took to Instagram to show her support for her former group. Sulli is still managed by SM Entertainment, f(x)'s agency.

"4 Walls" is an EDM-based track.

f(x) debuted under SM Entertainment with the song "La Cha Ta" in 2009.
