2PM Hit #1 On Oricon Charts With New Japanese Single 'Higher'

It only took two days before 2PM soared to the top of the Oricon Charts with their newest Japanese single "Higher."

2PM released "Higher" on October 21 and it quickly climbed the Oricon Charts to as high as number 2 on the first two days, but on the third day it finally hit the number 1 spot based on daily sales, reports Allkpop.

By topping the Oricon Charts and also clinching the most downloaded ringtone for the song "Higher," 2PM seems to have hit another home run and proves they are still one of the most popular K-Pop boy bands in Japan.

2PM is currently promoting Higher in Japan as part of their ongoing Six HIGHER Days tour in the country.

Part of what makes the boys attractive to Japanese fans is their mix of manly and boyish charms, the latter of which was on full display lately when they donned Halloween costumes as part of their concert performances.

2PM debuted in Japan back in 2011 with the single "Take Off," which also dominated charts, and by the end of the year the boy group was crowned the 2nd best selling new artist in Japan. The group then further raised their popularity by releasing full albums and staging concert tours in major Japanese cities.
