Jung Yong Hwa Cancels Drama Comeback, Will Focus on World Tour and Music

After instilling fan excitement with news of a drama comeback just a few weeks back, CNBLUE Jung Yong Hwa's management, FNC Entertainment, released a statement that the actor was withdrawing from starring in his role for "Heirs", a drama to be written by "Secret Garden" and "A Gentleman's Dignity" writer,  Kim Eun Sook.  The appearance in Heirs was set to be the CNBLUE leader's comeback and reunion with former lead co-star Park Shin Hye, and his first work with Lee Min Ho.

According to Jung Yong Hwa's representative, an agreement was not reached between the drama production and the management company with regard to Jung Yong Hwa's role in the drama.   Hence, they have concluded to withdraw from the appearance altogether.   Both sides respect the decision reached.

CNBLUE is currently staging their world tour on top of album releases.  With this kind of hectic schedule, Jung Yong Hwa's participation in the drama would have produced a strain on the musician-actor's workload. In the case of when he has disagreement with the role he was to portray in the drama, it was perhaps only right to have prioritized in the way he did.   Yong Hwa previously already landed in a lead role in "Heartstrings" and has established his own potential as an actor.   While he is favored by "Heirs" writer and had him to cameo in her last drama top drama "A Gentleman's Dignity", it just might not be the time for Jung Yong Hwa.

Upon news of the cancellation, fans of Jung Yong Hwa expressed their opinions saying, "I would have loved to see him in a drama again" "He made the right decision" "Yong Hwa should focus on music because he is best there."  These passionate reactions show how fans eagerly anticipate Yong Hwa's comeback to the small screen.  Hold your breath, that time may come soon enough.
