Ex-Hooker Estate Fight Ends As Judge Rules In Favor of One-Time Prostitute's Daughters, Awarding Them $1800 A Month

The ex-hooker estate fight pitting the daughters of former prostitute, Keila Goggins, against the estate of Northern California millionaire, Raveesh Kumra (Ravi, to friends), ended when the judge said there was clear evidence the 9 and 7-year old girls were the daughters of Kumra.

On May 1, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Santa Clara Country Superior Court Judge, Thomas Cain, ruled on Tuesday that there is clear evidence the two daughters of the former courtesan, ages 7 and 9, were in fact the daughters of slain millionaire Ravi Kumra.

He awarded them $1800 every month.

Kumra was killed at his mansion home in Monte Sereno, California on November 30, 2012, when gang members with ties to prostitute's Kumra knew, broke in and bound and gagged him before making off with jewelry, cash and valuable coins. While bound and gagged, the tech investor who made millions in the wireless industry, asphyxiated and died. Kumra's 66-year-old wife, Harinder, was also beaten during the attack, but survived the robbery.

So far, five, including two prostitutes, have been charged in the case, but it's not yet certain whether it will include murder or manslaughter charges.

According to the San Jose Mercury News, the family of Kumra believe the girls to have been the result of Kumra donating his sperm.

The mother of the daughters and the former courtesan, Keila Goggins, who lives out of California, says the news is "Absolutely wonderful," before adding:

"It is what he would have wanted. It's a wonderful start to making sure that my girls can get their colleges taken care of and their needs, so they would have no limitation on where they wanted to go and what they wanted to be."

The Kumra family had no statement on the ruling in the case.

The case has drawn national attention because of the violence in the affluent Silicon Valley neighborhood where Kumra lived with his ex-wife, Harinder, who still lived in their mansion despite a 2010 divorce. Lawsuits by former business partners have accused Ravi of a shame divorce in an effort to escape creditors.

During the case, Kumra's hedonistic lifestyle surrounded by prostitutes all the time, even while his wife was still in the mansion, came to light.
