Britney Spears Lookalike In U.K. Earns A Massive $450,000, Former Waitress Commands Up To $5,000 Appearance Fee

Does it pay if you resemble the look of singer Britney Spears? For Michaela Weeks, a 25-year-old former waitress in the U.K., the answer is a resounding yes!

She swapped serving tables for career as a Britney Spears lookalike, which has allowed her to earn a staggering £300,000 or more than $450,000 a year as a full-time doppelganger. She bears an incredible likeness to the pop princess and has been able to live the glamorous life of a genuine star since starting her new career.

She has spent thousands of pounds on a fleet of top range sports cars including an Audi TT, a Mercedes SLK and a Toyota MR2. She has also splashed on two houses, buying her first at 19-years-old.

Michaela charges up to £3,500 (est. more than $5,000) for a personal appearance. She said, "I feel very blessed to look like Britney and to be living the life I am now. I bought my first house at the age of 19 when most people my age were living with their parents, working in TopShop and still going to college.”

“The best part is that I'm a huge Britney fan - it would be awful if I had to impersonate someone I hated. If I ever get to meet her I just want to thank her for giving me this life and for looking so much like me."

The Britney Spears look alike considers herself very “Lucky” because her resemblance to Britney has allowed her to travel all over the world on assignments. She has also starred in a Kaiser Chiefs video and even posed for world-renowned celebrity spoof photographer, Alison Jackson.

Michaela first realized her striking resemblance to the pop icon when Britney burst onto the music scene with Baby One More Time in 1998.

Over time the catcalls of “hit me one more time” and “Hey, it’s Britney” became more frequent from passersby in the street and Michael decided to enter a lookalike competition for Granada TV at age 16.

She failed the cut the following year but was called back on the show called Stars and Their Doubles, and won her category.

She said, “I tried a bit of modelling after that but every time I tried to do something different people kept coming back to the Britney thing.

“In the end the pull was so strong I packed in my waitressing job and decided to give it a go full-time and I haven't looked back since."

From there, her work as a Britney lookalike started flooding in and she began putting together tribute act with the help of a vocal coach and choreographer.
