Hip Hop Producer Shot In Robbery Attempt, But AraabMUZIK Is 'Alive and Well' In Hospital [HOSPITAL PIC]

The hip hop producer, AraabMUZIK, was shot in an apparent robbery attempt on Wednesday night, but his publicist said he's "alive and well" in the hospital as he recovers from the still-fresh gunshot wounds.

Abraham Orellana, the hip hop producer known as AraabMUZIK, was shot in an apparent robbery attempt late Wednesday night. His publicist released a statement that said he was "currently alive and well," while noting he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The statement failed to mention where exactly he was at the time of the shooting, but his homebase is Providence, Rhode Island.

Orella's manager, George Moore, better known as the record label executive and producer DukeDaGod, posted a picture on Instagram featuring AraabMUZIK in a hospital bed surrounded by friends with a Twitter message saying  "Everyone wish my brother (at)araabmuzik a healthy & pleasant recovery!!!!"

The statement from AraabMUZIK's publicist also says "Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can."

AraabMUZIK was featured as the main producer behind Cam'ron's 2009 album Crime Pays, producing the single "Get it in Ohio." He also helped Cam'ron and rising rapper, Vado, produce a series of mixtapes throughout 2009 and 2010. He helped rape group, the Diplomats on their comeback single "Salute," and for Capine-N-Noreaga's War Report 2 and Jim Jones' Capo.

ArrabMUZIK's DJ and production style often uses samples and cuts culled in real time with an MPC (Music Production Center) drum machine. His samples are eclectic as he borrows from dance music, trance, eletrco, dubstep, electro, and gabber.

He's already released two albums this year: Electronic Reality and For Professional Use Only. In 2012 he colloborated with Big Russian Boss, which he considers the highlight of his career.
