Actress Song Ha Joon Signs With JYP Entertainment Same Week San E Departs: 'She Has Showcased A Wide Spectrum Of Acting' Label Rep Says

South Korean Actress Song Ha Joon, the star of the films "Dangerously Excited" ('Naneun Kongmoowonida") and Helpless ("Ha-Na") has left agency BH Entertainment To Sign With JYP Entertainment.

The announcement comes on the heels of rapper San E parting ways with the label.

"Song Ha Yoon has showcased a wide spectrum of acting so far from innocent to a mature image," a JHP Entertainment spokesperson told allkpop on Friday.

"She is like a white canvas that can pull off any color, and is an actress who portrays her characters well. She especially has great passion and [a lot of] potential in the acting field, so we signed her."

Founded in South Korea by K-pop artist and producer Park Jin Young in 1997, JYP is considered one of the Big Three record labels of the genre along with S.M. Entertainment and international superstar Psy's label, YG Entertainment.

The current JYP Entertainment roster includes the acts Wonder Girls, JOO, 2AM, 2PM, miss A, San E, JJ Project, Baek Ah Yeon and 15&.

"Please look forward to more diverse performances from [Song Ha Yoon]," the rep added, according to website Soompi.

The announcement of Song Ha Joon signing with JYP Entertainment comes just three days after South Korean rapper San E announced he would be parting ways with the label.

"I think I'll cancel my contract with JYP soon and leave," San E recently wrote last month on his fancafe website. "There's nothing bad that happened or any of the sort. The story gets a little long if I talk about the stuff in the beginning and the middle, but in any case, the conclusion is that I'll officially leave JYP soon."

"The important thing is that there are no problems and we all are on good terms," the rapper added. "Both sides are sad, but we both have good feelings [regarding this outcome]. However, it doesn't mean I'm quitting music. I'll show another side of San E so please don't be sad. Stay happy like you have been."

A JYP label representative confirmed the news about San E.

"[San E's] contract will be over during the week," the rep said. "We ended on good terms and had a lot of conversations with him. For his music promotions, we've decided not to end his contract, but to cancel it."

"We respected his decision in wanting to do his own style of music," read an official JYP statement released on May 1. "We have terminated his contract and he will be officially ending [his contract with us] this week."
