ZE:A Siwan-B1A4 Baro To Star In Short Film, 'The Unborn'

K-Pop stars Siwan of ZE:A and B1A4's Baro are confirmed as cast members of an upcoming short film project.

On Tuesday the stars' agencies released word that Siwan and Baro will be taking part in the filming of Mi Sang (translated as The Unborn), a short film based on a popular web cartoon of the same name.

Rumors have suggested that ballad group 2AM's Changmin is also tied to the film project, although according to his agency, Big Hit Entertainment, the decision has yet to be made final.

The Unborn is about a man who has aspirations of becoming a professional baduk (Korean chess) player. When he is unsuccessful he joins the masses of salaried office employees and joins a company.

The web cartoon was started in January 2012 and is still going strong due to its relatable content and accurate depiction of company life.

The film will serve as a prequel to the cartoon and follows the stories of six characters from the comic. It will be released in separate parts over the course of six weeks beginning May 24.

This is not the first time the cartoon's creator, Yoon Tae Ho, has had one of his comics adapted for the screen, Algae was also made into a film.

Siwan first gained attention for his acting during the popular historical drama The Moon Embracing the Sun. In addition to his acting experience, Baro is no stranger to web comics. His group B1A4 was made their debut and were introduced to the world through a webtoon.

Filming for The Unborn began on May 7.
