Pledis Entertainment new boy group revealed their official name and photo today, January 7. Initially known as Pledis Boys after doing promotions with their label mates Son Dambi and After School for their Happy Pledis 2012 “Love Letter” single, it’s official that the 5-member group will debut with the name NU’EST.

Pledis announced the official name with a teaser photo of the 5 members on January 17. Their name is a combination of NU (New), E (Establish), S (Style), and T (Tempo) and is hinting to establish a new style of music. The groups trendy and stylish musci already make them one of the most anticipated groups of 2012.

“NU’EST will make their debut in early March, although they will be the third rookie group to follow groups like EXO and B.A.P. But we are not worried and will be hasty with their debut because they have the talent and looks to succeed,” shared Pledis with confidence.
