Review: Akdong Musician Warms Hearts Once Again With 'I Love You' Music Video, What Makes This Brother-Sister Act So Charming? [VIDEO]

Though they may be reality TV contest winners dominating the K-pop charts with syrupy-sweet love songs, somehow it's hard not to like Akdong Musician.

Blending savvy song craftsmanship with a quirky persona, there is something about the songs of 14-year-old lead singer Lee Soo Hyun and her brother, 16-year-old guitarist and vocalist Lee Chan Hyuk, that just wins you over.

The video for "I Love You" puts one more nail in the heart-shaped coffin: if this song is not stuck in your head yet, then you probably haven't heard it.

Already in it's third week in the Billboard K-Pop top 10, "I Love You" is a song crafted for maximum impact. The chords tug at your heartstrings and the production features some interesting harmonies from the pair.

This is not your average high school band.

After giving fans several weeks to digest the song, Akdong Musician's video for "I Love You" probably looks similar to the one many listeners imagined when they first heard it.

Lee Soo Hyun swoons as her brother's friend, played by South Korean actor Lee Hyun Woo, comes over to play guitars with Lee Chan Hyuk.

As the sparks fly, Lee Chan Hyuk smacks his friend to pay attention to their rehearsal.

Meanwhile, his sister flirts with Lee Hyun Woo from over in the kitchen.

In a scenario that has the potential to get very strange very quickly, especially considering Lee Hyun Woo is 20 and Lee Soo Hyun just turned 14 earlier this month, the video remains innocent and sweet.

This has a lot to with the fact that the two members of Akdong Musician are natural-born actors.

They have the ability, as any great film star does, to make you feel as though the camera isn't there, that they are simply at home, being themselves.

In the "I Love You" video, Lee Soo Hyun appears to be genuinely enjoying herself and Lee Chan Hyuk proves he has great comedic timing.

The styling of the video, part Wes Anderson, part Sesame Street is nicely understated and the editing is restrained.

There aren't a million jump cuts, as you see in most music videos from anywhere in the world. Instead the director lets the faces of Akdong Musician and Lee Hyun Woo tell the story.

If you aren't at least a little charmed by the "I Love You" video, then you're probably the type of person that puppies or kittens don't do much for either.
