K-Pop Idol Members You Wish Would Come Back? 'Members Who Left Groups'

I'm always hesitant to completely fall in love with a group, for the fear that one day their respective agency will announce the departure of a member I've grown attached too. But when you're a lover of all things K-pop, you have to be prepared to expect the unexpected, and so to honor those who have left us, we'd like to make a tribute to those who we have lost and who we miss dearly.

Sunmi of the Wonder Girls was by far one of my favorite members in JYP's super girl-group. The cutie-pie debuted with her fellow members in 2007 and stayed with the group till 2010. JYP released a statement stating that Sun-Mi was leaving to continue an academic career and has plans to postpone her music career until further notice. Since there was not an official announcement of departure, fans are still eagerly awaiting her return back into K-pop. Sun-Mi's career spanned only 3 years, but she was part of the highest career points in the group's success, including "Tell Me," "Nobody," and "So Hot."

After School's Bekah debuted with the group in 2009 and made her exit in 2011. Reigning from Hawaii, the pretty rapper left her K-pop ways behind and moved back to home to pursue a career in design. Bekah graduated from After School on July 1, 2011 and has since been back at home studying and getting her golden tan on. In 2012, the ex-pop star opened an online store called "I Crave You," where she sells handmade jewelry. The accessories sold out on opening day, proving that there is indeed life after K-pop.

Super Junior's Hangeng left the super-sized group in 2009. Rumor had it the Chinese idol departed from SJ due to stress. The rest of the members opened up on radio show, Radio Star Super Show, that they were clueless when it came to Hangeng's decision to leave behind SM Entertainment. Hangeng is currently pursuing a solo career in China.

Another member of Super Junior who knew fans of the group wouldn't be familiar with, was Kim Kibum who made his debut with the group in 2005. Kibum mysteriously disappeared from the group's promotional activities after the release of their third album, "Sorry, Sorry." Though he was part of two music videos during this time, for the most part Kibum was M.I.A leaving fans wondering if he was still part of their favorite boyband. It was later released in 2010 that although still part of the group, Kibum would be solely focusing on an acting career bringing Super Junior's number down from 13 to 11.

T-ARA's Hwayoung, who was supposedly bullied by her fellow members, left the group in 2012. Her departure from the group stirred much controversy amongst fans and T-ara hasn't been able to recover fully from the scandal since. Aside from all the negative hoopla surrounding the group, I do hope Hwayang finds her way back into K-pop and comes back a stronger woman and performer.
