Roy Kim's 'Bom Bom Bom' Spends 3 Weeks At Number 1 On Billboard K-Pop Hot 100: Lee Hyori Jumps Into Number 3 Spot With 'Miss Korea'

The number one song on Billboard Magazine's K-Pop Hot 100 is Roy Kim's "Bom Bom Bom," for the third week in a row.

Other than that, there are major shakeups in the top 10.

The biggest jump comes from Lee Hyori's critically acclaimed track "Miss Korea," which leaps into the number three position after being at number 11 last week.

"Miss Korea" is the debut single off of Hyori's fifth album "Monochrome," scheduled for release on May 22.

2Minute continues their creep to the top of the Billboard K-pop chart, as "What's Your Name" which sneaks into number two in its third week on the charts.

Last week, 2Minute's attitude-laced "What's Your Name" was at number three.

The Psy song "Gentleman"  may have peaked in its chart position.

Now in its fifth week in the Billboard K-pop top 10, the follow-up to Psy's runaway hit "Gangnam Style," dipped to number eight on the chart.

Last week, it was at number six.

Cho Yong Pil's "Bounce" fell three positions to number five.

The 63-year-old chart-topper opted to do little publicity for his 19th album "Hello," yet at one point had half a dozen songs in the top 50.

Korean publication The Chosunilbo reports Cho Yong Pil's album "Hello" sold 180,000 copies in the first 20 days after it was released, success the legendary musician says he achieved through an update in style.

Cho Yong Pil claims the current K-pop scene suits him just fine.

"K-Pop has a rosy future with so many talented singers in the genre," he said.

Yet Cho cautioned younger musicians against putting style before substance.

"[K-pop artists] should beware of relying too much on extraneous things like elaborate dance moves rather than singing, because that can diminish the value of their music," he said.

A new arrival in the K-pop top 10, 4Men's "Propose Song" debuts at number four this week.

The song explores how marriage can change a man.

The group expressed their gratitude to their fans for their recent success through a statement last week on the website allkpop.

"We are really thankful for the love that was poured out to us with 'Hello It's Me' in January and now 'Propose Song," the statement read.

"We will consistently work hard to return the love through good music and performances."

The K-Pop Hot 100 is calculated by Billboard Korea, based on digital sales from leading download/streaming websites and mobile providers.
