China Rains Kill 55, 14 Missing in Various Provinces

Very tragic --China rains kill 55 people and as of writing time, 14 are still missing.

Southern China rains kill 55 this week and there are a number of people still missing from different provinces in China. This is what the authorities said about the rainstorm that badly hit the Southern part of China.

According to the website of the Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs, China rains kill 55 already and there are at least 9 provinces that battled the heavy rainstorm. Many of these provinces experienced severe flooding and landslides that started on Tuesday, when the storm hit them.

The Guangdong Province was hit by the storm the hardest with figures stating that there are already records of 36 deaths and 10 people are missing. The Jiangxi province was reported to have 6 deaths and 4 missing persons.

The flood waters from the China rains already reached as high as three feet in many areas, destroying properties like houses and vehicles and causing severe destruction in many areas . There are some residents stuck in their homes, and there are possibilities they can be caught in mudslides if not evacuated soon enough. But people are still hopeful that the weather will clear up soon.

This nasty rainstorm striking the southern part of China is still expected to cause possible flooding and mudslides in the next coming days. Chinese people should be prepared for strong thunder, extreme gusts of strong wind and hails as the forecasts from Guangdong's weather service said that there will be more heavy rain to come.

Heavy rainstorms are common in different areas of the world, and once a heavy horrible rain starts falling, the worst of possible consequences may happen including deaths. The death tolls recorded this year was so much higher compared to bad rainstorms July of last year with 20 people killed. In April 2011, a dozen were found dead due to a bad rainstorm.
