Sarah Jessica Parker visits the Philippines to open a high-end concept mall for the country’s largest retailer, the SM Group. She graced the launch of the SM Store Aura, a new next-generation premium retail concept.

SM Aura is heralded as a civic center, with a total floor area of 2.7 million square feet, comprising a 1,000-seat concert hall, a mall and an office tower built to an elevated standard of environmental sustainability.

Sarah Jessica Parker was chosen by the mall development giant as a brand ambassador for SM Aura for her exceptional style and boldness. According to Millie Dizon, senior vice president for marketing, “her style is experimental and unparalleled. She can wear clothes as diverse our fashion collections.”

SM is the local franchise holder for brands such as Forever 21 and Uniqlo. Among the other global brands making their debut in the country via SM Store Aura are Suiteblanco from Spain, Stefanel from Italy, as well as BB Dakota, J Lindberg, River Island and Farah. World-famous restaurateur Tood English has a Todd English Food Hall on the premises of the center.

Sarah Jessica Parker was recently heralded as the runaway star who stole the spotlight at the recent Met Gala for the fashion industry. Her interpretation of the influence on punk in fashion through her attire that night was spot on and was commended by critics and fans alike.

The actress is set to return to the stage in the world premiere of “The Commons of Pensacola” by Amanda Peet, opposite Blythe Danner this coming fall.

Parker played Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO television series, “Sex and the City” (1998-2004). She has also won four Golden Globe Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Emmy Awards. She served as a producer and reprised her role in the screen adaptation of the hit series with the theatrical release of “Sex and the City” and “Sex and the City 2.”
