Shinhwa New Album Ranks High on Both Korea and Japan Album Charts

Korea's longest lasting idol group Shinhwa has ranked number 1 on not only the Korea charts but also the Japan charts.

Today, Shinhwa Company stated that their new album, THE CLASSIC, that was released on May 21, was ranked number 1 on the Hanteo and Japan Tower Records charts.

Their agency stated, "It has been revealed that they have topped both Korea's Hanteo and Japan's Tower Records charts."

They continued, "They have shown their popularity and power of being an idol group for 15 years. All their hard work and efforts throughout these years have allowed them to continue to rank high."

An official commented, "It is a rare sight to see a Korean group to rank number 1 on the album sales chart in Japan. Japan fans have shown great interest in Shinhwa's newest album. We thank everyone for their support and the group will be looking forward to meet their Japan fans in July for their Japan concert."

On the other hand, Shinhwa is currently busy performing their new song, "This Love."

For their new title song, they have come out with an interesting dance concept called 'vogue' dancing. It is when they pose in positions seen in 'Vogue' and other fashion magazines. This different style of dance has also gained much attention from fans.

Shinhwa is known for their energetic and upbeat songs, dynamic vocals and entertaining choreography. As the longest-standing idol groups, they have become role models for many rookie groups and trainees.
