Lee Hi Thanks Fellow YG Entertainment Artist Psy For Allowing Her 'The Chance To Perform In Front Of 50,000 People' At His April Happening [VIDEO]

A year since getting signed to K-pop powerhouse record label YG Entertainment, 16-year-old Lee Hi seems to be enjoying her time in the spotlight, with a little help from her friends.

In an interview Wednesday with South Korean publication TV Report, Lee says being on a label with high-profile artists like Psy, CL and G-Dragon has given her opportunities most up and coming artists only dream of.

"I am really thankful to Psy," the singer said.

"When would a young, rookie singer like me ever have the chance to perform in front of 50,000 people at a concert? Giving me that opportunity [to perform at his April 13 Happening concert] must have not been an easy thing to do. I think it's because he supports me that it became possible."

Lee said that stepping out on stage for Psy's sold out performance in Seoul, South Korea was something she would never forget.

"Even when I look back on it, it was a really special moment," the star recalled.

"He knew that I was really nervous, so he purposefully gave me a big round of applause. The moment I stood on stage, I was really proud of Psy."

And for any K-pop fans wondering what CL and G-Dragon are really like, Lee described them as both being laid back people.

"CL and G-Dragon are normally cool in real life," Lee said.

"G-Dragon, especially, has a cool lifestyle. He always dresses well, so he seems perfect."

The singer said she couldn't believe her luck when she was asked to collaborate with CL, an artist she had admired for some time.

"I was very joyful when I got to perform on a collaboration with CL," Lee recalled.

"I always thought that CL was really cool, so it was amazing for me to be able to perform with her. [YG Entertainment] CEO Yang Hyun Suk readily accepted the request, and it happened."

The rising K-pop star also revealed the sensitive personality of Big Bang's Seungri.

"Seungri is really friendly," said Lee.

"If I seem nervous, he recognizes that and makes me feel comfortable. He has a lot of kind charms."
