SM Entertainment CEO Gives Spoiler about NCT's Other 2020 Activity

SM Entertainment's chief executive officer (CEO) has dropped a spoiler about NCT's 2020 activity!

The 2020 1st World Cultural Industry Forum took place on October 28 and was broadcasted live on YouTube. The said event serves as a means to talk about global economic growth that involves culture. The forum aims to bring East and West closer together through cultural and entertainment so as to better understand each other.

SM Entertainment's new CEO Lee Sung Soo also called Chris Lee, and the agency's chairman, Lee Sooman participated in the forum. EXO's Baekhyun, BoA, and NCT's Johnny were also present that day.

During the forum, SM Entertainment CEO was one of the people who gave a speech to discuss their accomplished projects and what they are aiming for. Lee Sung Soo stated, "I would like to say one spoiler." "Johnny, you are in NCT 127 and NCT's entire group. And we are now doing the NCT 2020 project with 23 members from Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and even the USA and Canada," he added.

He also mentioned the achievement of NCT's second album "NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 1 by saying, "Our projects are very successful right now. We sold more than one [million] copies within one week. And I really, really would like to do an NCT 2020 - all 23 members - Beyond Live concert within this year." "So Johnny please be prepared, and guys please help us," he continued. NCT Johnny gave a smile in response to what the SM Entertainment CEO said.

NCT has already accomplished lots of its 2020 activities, starting from January. On January 27, NCT 127 released the music video of a single titled "Dreams Come True. It was followed by the launching of their second studio album "Neo Zone on March 6, along with the title track "Kick It.

Then, on April 29, NCT Dream launched their fourth extended play "Reload with the title track "Ridin. After promoting the EP, the K-pop boy group cleared their concept wherein members who reach the age of 20 will be removed from the group. NCT Dream continued as seven members with the initially graduated member Mark.

In May, the three NCT units, specifically NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV held a series of concerts through Beyond Live, an online live concert streaming service and series. The shows took place on May 3, May 10, and May 17. Then, on June 9, WayV released their very first full album called "Awaken the World, alongside its title track "Turn Back Time.

On September 15, it was announced that NCT will have a project called 'NCT 2020,' like their previous NCT 2018 project, in which all NCT members from the four subunits will merge to work on one album. And that album is entitled "NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 1, which was out on October 12.

NCT's latest album is consists of 13 tracks. It is the group's first release to reach over one million pre-orders without the repackaged album. Additionally, in this release, the two new NCT members, namely Shotaro and Sungchan, also participated.
