SM Entertainment Announces Their Position on EXO Chanyeol's Alleged Ex-Girlfriend Scandal
Following the scandal that broke out over a netizen claiming to be EXO member Chanyeol's ex-girlfriend made headlines, SM Entertainment has expressed their position on the matter.
On October 26, SM Entertainment announced that they "have no official position on the post." The company has neither confirmed nor denied the legitimacy of the post, causing many to speculate on whether it is in fact true or fabricated.
EXO's Chanyeol has yet to make his own statement on the matter.
Fans are not reacting favorably at SM Entertainment's statements, however. Many are calling out the company for protecting Chanyeol as they did their other artists. Fans have brought up when trainee (and now confirmed Aespa member) Karia (also known as Yoo Jimin) was embroiled in a controversy over supposedly insulting idols, the company immediately announced they will be taking legal action against those spreading malicious comments and false rumors.

On October 29, a netizen shared a lengthy post on an online community forum claiming to be Chanyeol's ex-girlfriend. She called out the idol for allegedly cheating on her and backstabbing her members. She provided photos as evidence, but fans are doubting the authenticity of the photos. The netizen has chosen to remain nameless and faceless.
In her letter, she claimed to be Chanyeol's girlfriend for three years until their break up. She claimed that Chanyeol cheated on her multiple times by having one night stands with different women at night while she was asleep. She accused him of cheating on him with girl group members, YouTubers, flight attendants, and even people she personally knew.
The netizen also brings up a time in which an EXO member Chanyeol does not like allegedly flirted with her, as he did not know the two were romantically linked. At the time, Chanyeol did not defend her, which she found strange. She then accused Chanyeol of cursing at the said member behind his back. She claims she realizes now that he did not defend her because he was ashamed of his actions.
The netizen also claims she has a voice recording of the two on a call, in which the netizen confronts Chanyeol of his infidelity. She claims that Chanyeol had tried to deny the claims, but became flustered when she mentioned names of people he slept with.
Lastly, she claims she posted the post so that people know just how horrible he is and that he does not contact her.
