New photos of EXO's D.O. and BTOB's Sungjae while in the military were released.

On Nov. 18, the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) took to its official Twitter account to share new pics of D.O. and Sungjae, who are both currently completing their mandatory military service duties. The MMA also stated that Do KyungSoo (D.O.) and Yook Sungjae had participated in a challenge called "proud soldier," which will be unveiled starting from Nov. 23.

The challenge aims to create the feeling of being proud while serving in the military. In addition, it will be posted on the MMA's official Twitter and YouTube channel. It was also shared that a Q&A video featuring D.O. answering 30 questions will be uploaded on the MMA's YouTube channel prior to the premiere of the challenge.

In the new photos released by the Military Manpower Administration, it can be seen that EXO's D.O. and BTOB's Sungjae were recording for the "proud soldier" challenge while in their military uniforms. The pics also showcased the unending visuals and charismas of the two K-Pop idols.

Sergeant Do KyungSoo is currently carrying out his duties as a member of the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division, while Private Yook Sungjae serves as a part of the Ministry of National Defense's Service Support Corps.

EXO's D.O voluntarily enlisted in the mandatory military service. He is the second member of the boy group to begin his military duties. On July 1 of this year, he quietly entered the military training center, where he received basic training for five weeks. Ahead of his enlistment, EXO's D.O. wrote a letter to fans, expressing his gratitude for always supporting him. He also stated, "I will carefully serve and return to greet you all with a healthy image." The idol is scheduled to be discharged in January 2021.

On the same day of his military enlistment, D.O.'s solo single titled "That's Okay" was released through the SM STATION project as a gift for his fans. The singer took part in writing the lyrics of the track. The song is described as an R&B pop song that features warm acoustic guitar and minimalist drum beat. The lyrics are about releasing the sad feelings and having hope to attain pure happiness.

Meanwhile, BTOB's Sungjae started as an active-duty soldier on May 11, along with his fellow member Hyunsik. Like EXO's D.O., Sungjae and Hyunsik also received a five-week basic training. The two BTOB members are expected to conclude their military service on Nov. 14, 2021.

The last release of BTOB's Sungjae before he enlisted in the military is a special album titled "Hour Moment." It was launched on Nov. 12, and it features the song entitled "Beautiful Pain."

Besides these, the male idol was also able to make his solo debut on Mar. 2 with the album "Yook O'Clock." It is composed of six tracks from his "3X2=6" project, as well as the lead single "Come with the Wind." An animated music video for "Come with the Wind" was also dropped that day.
