U.S. Fuse TV released an article on 2NE1 CL on May 27 stating that she would most likely be everyone's new favorite female MC.

The online article read, "CL has released her first debut solo album. She is one to watch out for and will most likely become everyone's new favorite female MC."

They also stated, "Having already performed in the U.S twice for arena tours, she is now ready for the big stage. We could see that she was ready after watching her perform Nicki Minaj's 'Did it On Em'." and gave a positive response to CL's music.

On the other hand, on May 28, CL released her first solo album and her title song, "The Baddest Female." This song features a slow hip hop and has ranked number 1 on many music charts after its release.

2NE1 leader CL has been known for amazing rap skills and fashion sense and is finally coming out with her own style of music. A female rapper like her is rare in the K-Pop industry and many fans are excited and happy for her solo debut.

Many YG artists such as Big Bang and producer Teddy made appearances in her music video as well to show support.
