IZ*ONE steps up as UNIVERSE Music forerunners with the release of their new single "D-D-DANCE," serving as the K-Pop platform's first original content.

NCSoft and its entertainment arm Klap has announced the upcoming digital single. The girl group began promotions with the release of the cover art and main concept photos last January 18, ahead of the digital single's scheduled release on the 26th. An official music video will be released on January 28.

UNIVERSE Music will serve as the official music platform of the artists included in the upcoming K-pop fan interaction platform. This will feature original releases of stars such as ATEEZ, (G)I-DLE, Park Ji Hoon, Kang Daniel, MONSTA X, WJSN, and more in addition to IZ*ONE. Idols on the platform - each with their respective PLANET - will be releasing their exclusive content for UNIVERSE, following "D-D-DANCE," delivering its promise of UNIVERSE-only content between the K-pop artists and their respective fandoms.

The Ever-Expanding UNIVERSE

The launch of UNIVERSE Music, spearheaded by the Korean-Japanese group, follows the fan interaction platform's announcement of surpassing 2 million pre-registrations before it was officially launched. A new update from NCSoft reports that they have already crossed the 3 million mark. These registrations are from global K-Pop fans coming from 188 countries across the world - including South Korea, the United States, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, and more - in a display of growing anticipation of the newest service. Surprisingly, the majority of the pre-registrations come from overseas fans, with more than 73 percent from outside South Korea. Interested fans can still pre-register for the UNIVERSE app, now available on Google Play and Apple App Store.

Additionally, online gamers can also receive an exclusive reward ahead of the UNIVERSE launch. Various games such as Lineage 2, Lineage Remastered, Aion, Blade, and more are offering rewards to their users that they can redeem in the UNIVERSE app.
