Lee Hyori's 'Bad Girls' Takes Over Number 1 Spot On Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100: Akdong Musician's New Single Debuts At Number 2

Riding the wave of praise that took her new single "Bad Girls" to the top of South Korea's GAON Digital and Download charts, Lee Hyori has now topped the  Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.

"Bad Girls" made a giant leap in its second week on the Billboard K-pop chart, jumping up from number 25 last week.

In addition to Lee's recent publicity blitz, the singer has been on South Korean television practically every night since the song's debut, "Bad Girls" has also benefitted from rave reviews.

Everyone from the website Popdust to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has been singing the song's praises.

And as if that wasn't enough good news for Lee, her song "Miss Korea" is at number seven in its third week.

Brother-sister duo Akdong Musician continue their dominance of the Billboard K-pop chart, with their newest offering "Bean Ice Flakes With Rice Cake" debuting at number two this week.

The winners of the reality singing competition "K-Pop Star 2" Akdong Musician has two songs in the Billboard K-pop top 20, with the track "I Love You" currently at number 14.

After one week on the top of the K-pop Hot 100, 4Minute's "What's Your Name?" has fallen to number three in its fifth week on the chart.

And following an impressive three week run at number one, Roy Kim's "Bom Bom Bom" appears to be sticking around in the top five.

The "Superstar K4" winner's song falls to number four in its sixth week.

Rounding out the top five is the optimistically titled "Number One" by the female duo Two Months.

The song debuts at number five.

One of the more intriguing sagas on the K-pop Hot 100 is the endurance of 63-year-old K-pop pioneer Cho Yong Pil.

After making the unique choice to skip doing any major promotion for his 19th album "Hello," released last month, Cho has still seen several of the album cuts make chart appearances in the last several weeks.

The legendary artist's song "Bounce" which peaked at number one, is currently number seven in its seventh week on the Billboard K-pop chart.

Psy is clinging to dear life to remain in the top 20 with his newest single "Gentleman."

After seven weeks on the K-Pop Hot 100, the genre's most famous international star is at number 18, down six places from last week.
