TWICE to Conduct an Online Concert that will Broadcast Live in Japan

TWICE will be taking the time to bring happiness to their ONCEs in Japan through an online concert!

According to JYP Entertainment on Feb. 4, TWICE will be holding an online concert called "TWICE in Wonderland" that will be streamed live in Japan on March 6 (Saturday) at 7 p.m. JST. The event will be in partnership with NTT DoCoMo, the biggest mobile operator in Japan.

It is said that state-of-the-art technology such as augmented reality and mixed reality will be utilized for TWICE's performances during the online concert to provide fans a more live experience. Fans can watch the event on a smartphone or computer, and it can be watched by transmitting it to a television.

TWICE has already dropped the first teaser image for the upcoming show featuring Nayeon. This will be group's first online concert exclusively for their Japanese fans and their second overall following their on-tact event that was broadcast all over the world in August last year.

TWICE's Previous Concerts in Japan

The nine-member JYPE girl group - consisting of members from South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan - has established a solid fan base in Japan as they continue to release splendid songs and albums that always debut on local charts. TWICE held a concert at Tokyo Dome only 21 months after they debuted, a record for the fastest appearance at the popular venue by an overseas artist.

From January to February 2018, the nonet held their "TWICE Showcase Live Tour 2018 'Candy Pop'" in a total of six cities: Seto, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Osaka, Tokyo, and Saitama, with eight performances.

In the same year, the female act held the Japan leg of their "TWICE 2nd Tour: Twiceland Zone 2 - Fantasy Park" from May to June with four shows, two each in Saitama and Osaka.

In late 2018, from September to October, TWICE conducted their "TWICE 1st Arena Tour 2018 'BDZ'" in four cities: Chiba, Nagoya, Kobe, and Tokyo with eight total shows. The following year, the JYP girl group held another concert in Japan titled "TWICE Dome Tour 2019 '#Dreamday,'" which consists of five performances in three cities: Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya.

Last year, TWICE once again met their Japanese ONCEs during their "TWICE World Tour 2019-2020 'TWICELIGHTS'." The group was scheduled to hold another concert at Tokyo Dome but had to cancel it due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The same thing happened for their Seoul concert.

TWICE's 2021 Activities: "TIME 100" Interview, "DEPEND ON YOU" Release, Awarding Ceremonies, and More

TWICE recently appeared on "TIME 100" talk events organized by TIME Magazine and they performed "DEPEND ON YOU," which is one of the B-side tracks from their second studio album "Eyes Wide Open." This song is very special to the group as eldest member Nayeon wrote its lyrics, which talk about giving strength and courage to other people during their difficult times.

Moreover, TWICE attended the 30th Seoul Music Awards on Feb. 1 as a full group, with Jeongyeon joining her fellow members after months of hiatus since October 2020 due to health conditions. At the awards ceremony, the female act won one of the "Bonsang" (Main Award).
