We all know the famous dancing-machine GoToe, but wouldn't you love to learn a little more? Whether you are a new fan getting addicted or a proud YouTube follower, the chat I had with GoToe will give you a great look into the mind and personality of this loveable dancer!

GoToe (a shortened version on his real name Go Toe Kyung) is a wacky yet talented dancer on YouTube who has become quite popular for not only his covers but his pleasing mashups, alongside some hilarious reactions and challenges too!

Starting in 2015, GoToe has already garnered 1.9 Million subscribers with his most popular video (see below) reeling in 10 million views as he dances alongside hit group NCT 127 in the streets of New York City!

Now with the introductions out of the way, let's dive right into this fun interview - which includes some curious questions from fans as well!

1. You dance all the time - you must lose weight easily! Do you have a special diet to stay fit?
항상 춤을 추기 때문에 쉽게 살을 빼야합니다. 건강을 유지하기위한 식단이 있습니까?

"저는 원래 먹는 것 보다는 뭔가를 마시는 것을 좋아합니다 ㅎ 항상 물이나 커피, 에너지 음료 같은걸 먹다보니 무겁고 기름진 음식들을 잘 먹지않게 되는 것 같습니다.(항상 배가 어느정도는 채워져있기 때문에) 결과적으로 살이 많이 찌지 않게 된 것 같습니다. 특별히 건강한 음식들을 찾아 먹거나 하지는 않습니다ㅎ 개인적으로는 고기를 정말 좋아해서 스테이크를 집에서 자주 구워먹는편입니다."

"I like to drink something rather than eating usually, hehe~ I always drink something like water, coffee, energy drinks, etc., so I don't eat heavy and oily food often because my stomach is always somewhat full. As a result, it seems that I have not gained much weight. I don't often eat especially healthy foods. Personally, I really like meat, so I tend to grill steak at home."

2. I noticed over the years your fashion sense has even grown! Do you think you want to try something new with fashion trends and topics?
최근에는 패션에 더 관심이 있습니다. 패션 콘텐츠를 만들거나 모델이되고 싶습니까?

"따로 패션 콘텐츠를 만들 생각은 없습니다. 왜냐하면 제가 그렇게 옷을 잘 입는 편이기 아니기 때문입니다. 영상에서는 항상 아이돌들이 입는 옷들을 따라 입기 때문에 옷을 잘 입고 다닐 것 같지만 평소에는 전혀 그렇지 않습니다.
사진 찍히는 것을 좋아해서 모델 일을 하고싶다는 생각은 항상 많이 하고있지만 기회가 아직까지는 오지 않았습니다 ㅎ. 모델이 될 만큼 키가 크거나 비율이 좋은 것은 아니기 때문에 취미로 하는 정도로 만족합니다."

"I have no intention to create fashion content because I'm not that good at dressing up. In videos, I always wear clothes that idols would wear. I think I wear the styles well, but this is not always the case. I always like to take pictures in the outfits, so I often think that I want to work as a model, but the opportunity hasn't come yet. I am not as tall or proportioned as a model, so I am satisfied with it being a hobby."

3. Recently, you enjoy hosting many talk shows and games with K-Pop celebrities. Would you become a host for Korean television, if so what show?
최근에 K-Pop 아이돌과 함께 토크쇼를 개최하고 게임을합니다. 한국 텔레비전의 호스트가되고 싶습니까? 그렇다면 무엇을 보여줍니까?

"텔레비전에서 호스트가 되고 싶은 생각은 업습니다. 텔레비전과 유튜브의 성격은 완전히 다르기 때문에 유튜브에서 진행하는 것으로도 충분하다고 생각합니다.

유튜브에서 진행하는 프로그램은 텔레비전에서 진행하는 방송에 비해서 훨씬 더 편하게 방송을 진행할 수 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 아이돌들도 일을 한다는 느낌보다는 그냥 편하게 게임도 하고 이야기도하면서 편하게 쉬다간다는 느낌을 받았으면 좋겠다는 생각을 많이합니다."

"I don't want to be a host on television. I think it's enough to go on YouTube because the platform between television and YouTube is completely different.

Programs on YouTube can be broadcasted much more easily than on TV. That's why idols play games and talk more comfortably than they would on TV. I think it would be really great if they can relax comfortably."

4. How difficult is it to balance your job as a Pharmacist and your YouTube career?
약사로서의 직업과 YouTube 경력의 균형을 맞추기가 어렵습니까?

"두 직업 모두를 병행하는 것은 많이 어렵다고 생각합니다. 육체적으로 너무 피곤하기 때문에 요즘에는 약사일을 거의 하지 않고 있습니다. 지금은 유튜브에 집중해야할 시기라고 생각합니다."

"I think it's very difficult to combine both jobs. I'm doing very little work at the pharmacy these days because I'm physically too tired. I think it's time to focus on YouTube more." (I can agree! Although, GoToe seems to already be working so hard!)

5. What is your favorite memory from a Random Play Dance?
랜덤 댄스 플레이에서 가장 좋아하는 기억은 무엇입니까?

"모든 랜덤플레이댄스가 저마다의 특별한 기억들이 있어서 다 너무 좋아합니다. 나라마다 너무 느낌이 다르기 때문에 그걸 비교하는 재미도 있습니다. 특히나 저는 항상 방 안에서만 영상을 찍기 때문에 케이팝 팬들과 만날 수 있는 기회가 랜덤플레이댄스를 제외하면 거의 없어서 이런 오프라인 행사들을 너무 좋아합니다. 해외에서 할 때에는 여행도 할 수 있기 때문에 저에게는 완벽한 행사입니다. 아직까지 못 가본 나라들도 하루빨리 갈 수 있었으면 좋겠습니다."

"Every Random Play Dance has its own special memories, so I love them all. It's also fun to compare videos because all the countries have different feelings. Particularly, I film videos only in my room, so there is almost no chance to meet K-Pop fans except during Random Play Dance. I love these offline events. It's a perfect event for me as I can travel abroad. I wish I could go to more countries that I haven't been to yet."

6. Do you enjoy making choreography or simply covering songs?
안무 만들기 나 K-Pop 안무 춤을 즐기십니까?

"저는 전문적으로 춤을 배우지는 않았기 때문에 지금까지 직접 춤을 만들어본 적은 없습니다. 하지만 당연히 춤을 커버해서 추는 것은 좋아합니다. 템포가 빠른 춤을 추면 기분이 좋고 스트레스도 풀리는 기분입니다. 춤을 추는 것 뿐만아니라 평소에 음악을 듣는 것도 정말 좋아해서 거의 항상 집에서는 음악을 틀어놓는 편입니다."

"I haven't learned to dance professionally, so I have never made choreography myself. But, of course, I love dancing and covering K-Pop dances. Dancing at a fast tempo feels good and relieves stress. In addition to dancing, I really like listening to music as well, so I almost always play music at home."

7. How do you feel when people recognize you on the streets? Does it happen often?
사람들이 거리에서 나를 알아볼 때 기분이 어떻습니까? 자주 발생합니까?

"거의 알아보지 못 하는 것 같습니다. 영상 속에서의 제 이미지와 제 실제 이미지가 조금 다르기 때문에 그런 것 같습니다. 그리고 제 생김새가 그렇게 특징이 강하지 않기 때문이기도 한 것 같습니다.

얼굴을 보고 알아보는 것 보다는 제 한국 이름이 정말 특이하기 때문에 이름을 보고 알아보시는 분들이 더 많은 것 같습니다. 하지만 그럼에도 불구하고 알아봐주신다는 것은 정말 제 영상을 많이 봐주셨다는 뜻이기 때문에 정말 기분이 좋습니다."

"I think people hardly notice because my image in the video and my actual image are a little different and it also seems to be because I'm not easily recognizable.

There are more people who look at me and recognize my name because my Korean name is really unique rather than looking at my face. But nevertheless, it really feels good to be noticed because it means they have watched a lot of my videos."

(To be honest, I feel differently because GoToe's appearance is so strong and easy to recognize! I remember spotting him easily on the streets at KCON NY! He definitely stands out~)

8. A lot of busking events are canceled or restricted recently due to the Corona Virus - will you be doing any special online events for your followers?
최근에 코로나 바이러스로 인해 많은 버스킹 이벤트가 취소되거나 제한되었습니다. 가입자를 위해 특별한 온라인 이벤트를 하시겠습니까?

"사실 올해 본격적으로 전 세계를 돌아다니면서 랜덤플레이댄스를 기획하려고했지만 코로나 바이러스로 인해서 일정이 다 취소가되어서 안타깝습니다. 요즘에 케이팝 아이돌들이나 행사들이 온라인으로 콘서트나 여러 이벤트들을 많이하고있지만 저는 그럴만한 여유가 아직은 없어서 특별히 기획하고 있는 행사는 없고, 그저 열심히 평소처럼 영상을 만들면서 다시 많은 사람들이 안전하게 모일 수 있는 날을 고대하고있습니다."

"Truthfully, I tried to plan Random Play Dances all over the world earlier this year, but it is a pity that the schedule was canceled due to the Corona Virus. Nowadays, K-pop idols and events are being held online. I'm making a lot of videos so I don't have any special events planned, but I'm looking forward to the day when a lot of people can gather safely again and we can make more videos as before."

9. Is there anything you want to say to our readers and your fans?
팬들에게하고 싶은 말이 있습니까?

"하루빨리 코로나 사태가 진정이되어서 같이 만나서 춤을 출 수 있는 날이 오길 기대합니다. 곧 만나요 여러분!"

"I look forward to the day when Corona is gone so that we can meet and dance together. See you soon!"
